Recently, there was a community meeting at City Hall to discuss proposed revisions to the city's animal ordinance. This includes changes to the rules for keeping chickens, bees, and other animals - essentially allowing small-scale / hobby uses. More information can be found on the city's website here.
If you could not attend the meeting but have questions or comments on the proposed revisions to the ordinance related to keeping animals in El Cerrito, contact Planning Division Staff at (510) 215-4330.
